Call limits with Rondee

I saw this question: “How many callers can we have on each call? How many calls can we make per month?  Is there a charge for calls above a certain amount?  For example, some services give you 100 hours free each month but charge for every hour after that amount.”

 Here are the answers….

1. Typically 40 per call.  Let us know if you need more.

2. No charge for calls above any amount when you are using our free conference calling service.  If you are using our premium 1-800 service, it’s 5 cents per minute per user

Rondee Conference Calling and International Dialers

I saw this question about: “Can Rondee service be used by people outside the US?” The answer to your question is yes.  Most of our international callers who want to access a Rondee Conference Call, use Skype out because of cost considerations.  But really they could be using any kind of phone as long as it is capable of dialing the rondee Bridge number.

An array of questions about rondee conference calling

Just saw this posting:

“I have a couple of questions about using Rondee On Demand….

1] There will be 10 persons on the call.  One of them is calling in from Germany using her Skype.  Is this a problem?
>>> Should be fine.  if they have a problem with the Skype call quality they might want to try using our Rondee German Bridge number: +49 157-02488180 and have them check ahead of time to see how much their local phone company will charge them to call this number

2] With the On Demand phone conferencing, everyone uses the same On Demand pin number that was given to me.  In other words, there are not different pin numbers for each person as there are for the Rondee Scheduled call format.
>>> Correct

Given that, with the On Demand telephone conference calling format, I simply send out an email to all participants giving them the number to call in on and the same pin number.
>>> Correct

Question about recording a rondee conference call

I saw your question: “I will not be able to be online at the same time of my scheduled Rondee conference call. is it still possible to record the call?”

The answer to your question is yes but you’ll need to edit the call in advance of actually occurring (or request that the organizer do this).  To make this edit, you will need to log into your account ( or have the organizer log in to his or her account), click on “My Rondees” and then select this particular Scheduled Rondee.  Check the box for doing the recording and then click save.

Differentiators for Rondee conferences

I saw this posting: “Hi, I am trying to put a group of people from across the country on a single conference call. Is there a limit as to how
many people you can have on the conference call? I was wondering how your service differs from Ready Conference? Curious about the
services from your company. Thank you!”

Typically the limit on a single Rondee free conference call is 40.

One thing that makes Rondee unique is our web-based scheduling and tracking system.  We also provide you with the ability to customize other aspects of your conference calling experience such as your PIN code.

Helping users accessing the conference call

I saw this posting: “Some of my invited attendees aren’t receiving the invitation. Can I use my generic code to send to them for the call I scheduled? Other participants are receiving their personalized code but I would like to make sure everyone attends the call, even if they’re not seeing my invitation through the Rondee system.”

To answer your question, I’d like to first highlight the difference Rondee On-Demand (which uses the generic code as you referenced) and Scheduled Rondee.

Scheduled Rondees are calendared through the Rondee website. You sign in to Rondee.com to choose the date and time for the call. Rondee sends out email invitations, and invitees respond on the Rondee website. Rondee emails each participant a different PIN code unique to him or her.

Rondee On Demand conferences are not scheduled through the Rondee website. Instead, you independently notify your invitees of the date/time, and all participants dial in with the exact same generic PIN code.

The crucial thing to note here is that if you give your Scheduled Conference Call Participants your generic PIN (i.e. the one corresponding to your On Demand Rondee), they will end up in the wrong place!

Solution: give them your Scheduled PIN and then they can access the Scheduled Rondee Conference

Scheduled Rondee conference call reminders

I saw this posting: “Hello, I currently have 2 Rondees scheduled and am looking forward to the service.  In the future, will you be making a way to
send a reminder to the invitees about the upcoming conference call?  So far, I don’t see an option for that.”

Rondee automatically sends reminders to all participants on a Scheduled Rondee conference call, 30-60 minutes prior to the start of the call

Using Rondee for a Free Conference Calls for Family Reunions

I recently saw this posting.  Please see below for my response.

“Which website or link will explain to me how I can arrange for an extended family conference phone call?   Thanks for

your free service.”

Rondee makes it incredibly easy to arrange an extended family conference call in advance.

1. From the Rondee home page, indicate when you want the conference call to take place and who you want to invite.

2. Rondee then emails invitations to each family member. When your invitee responds that he or she will dial in, a unique code to access the scheduled Rondee is provided.

3. Rondee also gives you and your invitees a link to a web page so you can see who is going to be on the call.

4. At the arranged time, each person just calls 619-2-RONDEE (619-276-6333) and enters his or her assigned code.

Remember that each code is unique to you as a Rondee user, and can also be used by you for any future Rondee conference calls. I think you will find this way of scheduling a conference call to be ideal for bringing together your extended family on a free conference.

Questions about rondee free conferencing transcription features and other items

I just saw this posting.  Please see my answers immediately after each question.

“I’m a registered user and have a call scheduled for Wednesday.  I’ve selected the option to record the call and would like to know:

1. How are the callers informed that the call is being recorded?

If we are talking here about a Scheduled Rondee (which I assume we are), the invite page that they clicked through to before accepting the invitation specifies that the call is being recorded.

2. Will a link be sent after the call to download the recording or will I have to go to the site for it?

We are working on the ability to have a link automatically sent to the organizer, and this ability will be available soon.  At this point, however, a link will appear on that very same invite page when the conference is over and will remain there for 30 days in order to allow the recording to be downloaded.

3. Will anyone on the call be able to download the recording or do I have to distribute it to them?

If we are talking here about a Scheduled Rondee (which I assume we are), any of the invitees will be able to access the link to download the recording as long as they can navigate their way back to that invite page.

4. I’ve added some money to my account via Paypal because I’d like to have call transcribed, too.  How do I set up the transcription option?

At this point, the transcription feature is in beta testing.  I’d be delighted to have you participate.  At this point, it is entirely manual and the cost is $1 per minute.

My answers:

2. Yes.

3. 8 hours is typically the time limit.  3 hours is no problem.
