Charges for a Free Rondee Conference Call in the U.S. and Canada

A user recently asked: “Do you have a free Rondee conference call dial-in number in Canada? Also, am I paying for the other callers who access the conference? Can you please advise?”

Rondee is a U.S. company. We offer two dial-in numbers – (409) 777-9000 (in Texas) and (916) 209-4534 (in California).  We also offer a 1-800 dial-in number that is toll-free in the U.S. and Canada.

To use our toll-free number, you need to charge up your Rondee Premium Services account (via PayPal) before the call and activate your Rondee conference call for toll-free access. After the call is over, we automatically deduct the charges from your Premium Services account. The cost is $0.05 per minute, per caller.

If you use our 409 or 916 dial-in numbers, Rondee does not charge you or your participants — the cost is the same as any other regular long distance call you make from your home or office phone. Also, for cell phone users, a call to Rondee is exactly like any other call you make. Each call participant will be billed according to their specific carrier’s long distance/cell phone calling plan.

Recording Back-to-Back Free On Demand Rondee Conference Calls

A user recently asked: “We used the free On Demand Rondee conference call service this afternoon to record a call. However, when I download the file, despite it saying the duration is 1 hour, 26 minutes, the recording is only 50 minutes in length. During the actual call, everyone had to hang up and call back in. We’d like to recover the missing audio. Can you help?”

If you do back-to-back On Demand conference calls, you must leave a 3-minute gap between calls to record both calls. I checked the call record and there was only a 2-minute gap from the time the callers disconnected and called back. Therefore, Rondee did not record the call after everyone dialed back in and rejoined the conference call.

How to Review Your Free Rondee Conference Call Logs

A user recently asked: “I hosted a brief free Rondee conference call this morning. The call ended 20 minutes ago but I haven’t received an email receipt yet. I’m concerned that one of the three parties may not have hung up yet. Is there any way for me to verify if the other parties have hung up or if they are still talking?”

You can check your Scheduled Rondee call logs by signing in to your Rondee account and clicking the Scheduled Rondee link on the left. Click the Show Past Rondees button. Click the name of the Scheduled Rondee you want to view. At the top, right of the Scheduled Rondee Invitation page, click the Conference Data button. To check your On Demand Rondee call logs, click the On Demand link on the left. Click your PIN code link. Click the Access Conference Data and Audio link at the top of the On Demand Conference Options page. Click the Details button to the right of the call in the Conference Data window. Entering a Cell Number Into a Free Scheduled Rondee Conference Call Invite List

A user recently asked: “If I know someone does not have email access, can I put a cell (SMS) number into the free Scheduled Rondee conference call invite list for them?”

No, you can only enter email addresses in the Invite list. You will need to contact the individual outside of the Rondee system to invite him/her to the conference call. You will need to give the participant the date, time, Rondee bridge (409) 777-9000 to dial into, and your Organizer PIN code. Be aware, if you share your PIN with one other person that calls in with the same PIN, your call receipt will list your name two times, but it will also show the unique phone number of each caller.

Workaround to Print Free Scheduled Rondee Conference Call RSVP List

A user recently asked: “I am the organizer of a free Scheduled Rondee conference call and I would like to have a printed summary of who is attending, declined, etc. without having to hand write it from information online. Is this print option available? If so, can you advise how?”

There is no direct print feature for the RSVP list on the Scheduled Rondee invitation page. However, you could use the print screen button on your computer to get a screen capture of the page.

Navigate to the Scheduled Rondee Invitation page. While holding the Alt key on your keyboard, press the Prt Sc (Print Screen) button. Open a blank word processing document (i.e., Microsoft Word) and paste (Ctrl+v) the screen capture into the document. Depending on the length of your RSVP list, you may need to scroll down and repeat the print screen/copy to word processing document operation to screen capture the entire list.

Are the Free Rondee Conference Call Recordings Secure?

A user recently asked: “I am looking into whether the free Rondee conference call service could be a tool I could use in my research project. My specific question is, are the audio recordings secure?”

If you are holding an On Demand Rondee, only you will be able to access the audio file (MP3 format). The audio file will be available for listening/download about one hour after the call. You can sign in to your Rondee account and download the audio file associated with the On Demand Rondee. NOTE: The recording feature must be switched to ON prior to the call starting. And, if you do back-to-back On Demand calls, the audio will only record for the subsequent conference call if you leave a 3-minute gap between the conferences.

Rondee stores the audio file for 30 days on our server. After 30 days, the audio file is automatically deleted from our server and is no longer retrievable. If you will need to access your audio file after 30 days, please be sure to download it from our server.

Receiving a Written Version of a Recorded Free Rondee Conference Call

A user recently asked: “Does Rondee have the capability to provide the word version of the recorded free Rondee conference call?  That certainly would save me a lot of writing.  Also, how do I erase the ones I don’t need?”

Rondee does offer transription services for recorded conference calls. As of now, transcriptions are done manually with about 95 percent accuracy and turnaround typically takes 3 to 5 business days. All transcriptions are done in Microsoft Word.

To request a transcript, email support@rondee.com with the word Transcription in the header to arrange the purchase. The cost is $1 per minute with a $20 minimum and payment is handled via Paypal.

While a user cannot manually delete an audio file, all audio files are automatically deleted after 30 days.
