What Causes an Echo on a Rondee Free Conference Call?

A user recently asked: “During a recent Rondee free conference call, some of the participants heard an echo. What causes this?”

There can be many causes for an echo on a call. Many times it is caused by one or more participants using speaker phone. We recommend asking all participants to not use speaker phone during the call. Also, if your participants can mute themselves when they aren’t speaking (assuming their phone has a mute feature), that can also help.

On rare occasion, it is a bad audio mix at the server level. If that is the case, hanging up and calling back in usually fixes the problem.
