Rondee question about charges

“I’m comparing our conference call options. Can you address this question: Toll or Toll Free Conference Calling – one of the ways many conference call service companies  offer a low rate is by providing a low rate for Toll Access to the conference call.  The problem with this type of access is that you and your conference participants might be incurring charges in the form of long distance charges for connecting to this local or toll number which is not local to you.  Especially if you are inviting customers to the call you do not want them to incur any toll charges to connect to your conference call.”

The statement above is certainly accurate.  Some people these days have unlimited calling plans and therefore do not experience any additional cost in making a long distance phone call.  Some people who are dialing in on cell phones with a fixed bucket of minutes simply have their minutes deducted and therefore do not experience any additional cost and making a long-distance phone call.  However, for other people, who are on the older plans where they are paying a per minute rate to dial a long-distance call would probably prefer to dial a toll-free number in which case the cost is simply shifted back to the organizer who has hosted the 1-800 call.

    Your sound quality is great.
I would love to see better integration of contacts with TIME ZONES. I am based in Tel Aviv – Clients are based in US — I can not schedule with the time zones.

Hi, your response doesn’t seem to provide a solution. Where can I find a service that allows me as an organizer to provide a toll-free bridge number to those who need it, while still incurring no cost for those who can economically use a caller-paid toll number, on the same conference call?

Hello Pete. Rondee Toll Free works exactly like regular Rondee except the dial-in number is a 1-800 number rather than a California number. Toll Free Rondee works with both Scheduled Rondee as well as On Demand Rondee. Also, you can have some callers using the California number and some using the 1-800 number, all on the same call. You will not pay for those callers using the California number.
