A lot of people are wary of teleconference simply because of the costs. Since the number was local to us, and the service is free, it seemed like much less a risk to try, so we did. I gave everyone fair warning that if the call ended up long distance, their phone company would charge them, but I believe everyone used their cell phone's free long distance or the call was local anyways. Everyone had a really positive experience. So far people have praised the time savings, gas savings, and convenience of having a teleconference rather than meeting in person. People with kids who had to be home to put their kids to bed were able to attend. I liked being able to relax in my own home after work and not having to rush off to some other location to attend a meeting.
